定格? 不定格?
在抽象迷霧中尋找自己，過程中到處是問號，但偶爾發現有趣的地方，吸引自己著迷般地繼續發掘；
這趟旅程就像人生，未必凡事都能找到明確的定案，僅需一個模糊的方向，不同時期的創作歷程。
各有想法、有的堅持、有的已經妥協。由一開始為好玩而畫，而後來轉變成思考的主軸，每次作畫都是一次探索，一次迷失。
希望藉此展覽，分享自己各時期的各種想法。定格? 不定格? 來讓我們一起去探索吧。
本次展覽為香港藝術家Derek的第一個台灣個展，如同展覽自述所揭示，不論是創作過程、追尋夢想的過程，我們都有探索、有所迷失、也有所收穫，Pièce空間亦然。當我們對於前進有所迷惘時，走進這裡，希望透過展覽帶給大家不同的啟發，Move or Freeze? 相信都能勇敢地踏出，並且往前一步了！
Move or Freeze?
You will encounter various scenarios during the journey on self discovery and those scenarios act as an inspiration on motivating you to continue such mysterious trip.Yet, the travel is like a life portrait since you might not find any concrete and specific answers in it but all you need is spark.People tend to have different thoughts on art creation works experience with reference to their status, stages, and ages,such as some are used to insist while some are used to compromise.Drawing for fun at the beginning and turned it into a thinking process afterwards. Every time I draw, it is just like an exploration and then get lost in it. It is hoped to share my thoughts and feelings at different status,stages, and ages with all the passers-by via the trip in this exhibition.

鄒卓廷 — Derek Chow
1986 生於香港
2007 畢業於 CO1 視覺藝術學院
2008 加入香港插畫師協會
鄒卓廷是一位藝術家。多年來，一直在探索將彩色鉛筆與墨水，水彩和塑膠彩的混合技術。而作品主要是以 人像畫為主，風格偏向真實性和象徵性。鄒卓廷在近年更分別被選為「 2017 年亞洲插畫師年鑑計劃 」，及在 2018 年受 CROOK PRESS 邀請把作品刊登於「 DRAWN Vol.2 」。
我喜歡作畫，由起初單純的喜歡畫，所以畫，所以畫；後來回到原點，並希望透過作畫，能透澈地帶出畫作的出發點；到最近，我領略到「作畫」本是自我堅持的生活態度 ⋯⋯「藝術和作畫」已變作我生活中的養分。
畫作，始於生活日常，純粹地把生活日常投放在自己的畫作上，把我接觸到的、看到的、熱愛的，也包括我最愛的老婆，結合在一起，呈現在畫布上。不希望被任何風格或理論所限制，一切基於喜歡而已。

Derek Chow is a Hong Kong-based Artist. He is a member of the Hong Kong illustrator Association since he graduated from CO1 School of Visual Art in 2007. He is a Artist. Over the years, he has been exploring the interconnectivity skill of mixing colour-pencil with ink, water colour and acrylic. His artwork mainly focuses on portrait painting, both real and symbolic. In recent year, He was selected as a finalist for “ 2017 Asian Illustrator Yearbook Program ”. And in 2018, he was invited by CROOKPRESS to publish the painting in their book “ DRAWN Vol. 2 ”.
I like to paint. From simply I loved so I painted, to returned to the starting point, hoping that I could express my thoughts clearly through painting. Until recently, I have realised painting it is actually a self- persistent attitude towards life. “Art and painting" has become a nutrient in my life.
My inspiration comes from daily life, I put what I have encountered, seen, and loved, including my beloved wife, into my paintings, all combining on the canvas. I don’t limit my work by any style or theory, it’s all based on feeling.
